Design Culture Now
Grid and Post Modern Poster
In this assignment I was given the task to design a hypothetical poster for Design Culture Now, advertising the event. The goal: designing an interesting poster without use of illustration. I focused on title treatments and paragraph styles. It was important to treat the information with different font weights and styles whilst maintaining cohesiveness.
The second part of the assignment was to "break the rules" and create a post modern edit of the previous poster we created.

It was fun being destructive whilst creating patterns and layouts without having to worry
about legibility. However, it was still a challenge to find the balance between designed chaos
and a mess.

Sketches & Drafts
I started out with a few different ideas. It was hard to decide what I would ultimately end on but after trying out a few different versions, it came down to the feel of the poster and what made the most sense.

These posters show some progress between the first digital draft and 2 drafts closer to the final product.
