Roc Grotesk
I created a Type Specimen Book for the font, Roc Grotesk.
This posed a challenge where I needed to balance creativity and utility; focusing on showcasing the font and its properties in an interesting way whilst not getting carried away with design.
I designed the cover so that it would incorporate details that are shown throughout the book, also keeping in mind the back cover and how it would 'match' to the front cover.
Process
Sketches
I worked out the layout of spreads, wrote down colors, and created rough sketches of spreads in my sketchbook. Having a rough draft in front of me helped visualize what I wanted to do digitally.
